Edinboro Great Commercial Contest.. FUCK!

January 18, 2009

I must say, I find this the most amazing out of all of the videos in submission. As corrupt as the contest is (http://yourboro.wordpress.com/2009/01/03/the-edinboro-great-commercial-contest/)

I insist that you all vote for this entry:

(Click on the youtube video and click “watch in HD” on the bottom right of the video. It looks MUCH better that way) Remember, to vote in this corrupt contest, go here http://www.eupcontest.org/ and click VOTE on the video that you enjoy the most. This video is currently number 3.

Wait a second. Holy shit.

THIS video won instead:

This boring, bland, piece of shit.

Contest ended on Jan. 15th.

This dipshit couldn’t even figure out how to find and use a video capture program, so (as you can see from seconds :22 and on) he/she screencapped every second or two to make it appear as if the mouse is moving, but what you’re really seeing is a choppy horrible production rushed. This isn’t that apparent until :25 seconds in exactly when it looks absolutely atrocious. Maybe I’m going overboard, but in HD this stuff is obvious. And hideous.

Way to go, Edinboro.   I apologize to everyone who lost this contest. Some of you had interesting and much more comical and memorable videos. Commercials that people would have remembered.

You tried your hardest, but this piece of shit won.

Oh well, at least you get a camera, right?   Ugh, you guys don’t need to be mad you lost. I’m plenty mad for you

Miracles on Maple Hill

January 18, 2009

A new GoErie.com storyhttp://www.goerie.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009301179988 ) tells of a man with a dream.. to make a military sculpture out of butter.

But it also mentions something else I found much more interesting. It briefly mentions a book entitled “Miracles on Maple Hill” a 1956 novel by Virginia Sorenson, which won the Newbery Medal. Other winners of the Newbery Medal include Disney hits Shiloh and Holes… So yeah, pretty cool, I think. Oh yeah, and it’s based in Cambridge Springs/Edinboro!

Nifty, huh?

Way to go, Virginia
