And from Michael Chevalier in Fairview. And very well done- thanks for pointing this out, Michael!
“Why not start a stimulus package locally? Edinboro University of Pennsylvania missed a great opportunity to stimulate the local economy when constructing its new student housing project.
It chose instead to hire a developer from Texas and a general contractor from Williamsville, N.Y. As a result, the majority of businesses and workers involved in this project were brought in from New York, Ohio and the Pittsburgh area.
I would hope that if and when Edinboro proceeds with a second phase of this construction project, it consider it a priority to support local businesses and workers so that local students can afford to go to school there.”

How is Edinboro going to get the money to fund for this? Accepting ANY STUDENTS AT ALL? Mostly second chance (and now THIRD chance students) which in some casses puts the non-second/third chance students in danger. There’s students here who have a laundry list of crimes on their record if you look them up, some commited not more than a year ago!
Explain THAT shit.
Later, we’ll go over how corrupt the current SGA is and how it’s totally a mystery how the school lets it be this corrupt.

Steve was a really cool dude on the campus. He put up with a lot of shit on the myspace forums but took it like a trooper until he was accepted by everyone, and became generally a badass motherfucker. Such a nice guy.
Steve was 22, and a fucking cool dude.
My sympathies to his family and friends.
This truley is a awful month for Edinboro.

Well then you’ll be in love with this month. Aside from the design a new flag contest which I posted about earlier…
Here’s a new contest to participate in:
Alcohol Awareness Social Norms Poster Contest to Address Underage Drinking – This contest is open to all current EUP students. Information on awards, rules and voting is available at this link. Posters will be displayed in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center March 16 – 27, voting is online at www.eupcontest.org, and winners will be announced on April 8, 3:00 p.m. in the Scot Cinema. The first place prize is $500, second prize is a Wii and third place winners receive a $50 gift certificate to a local business.
Also, if you need a logo design contact Diane Crandall, her class is looking for non-profit organizations that they can do logos for. A donation of 50-100 dollars is suggested, though
