Just last week Edinboro student Jacqueline C. Newsome’s life was lost at the hands of a tragic car accident. Now, this week two students were involved in a car crash on Rt. 99 beside Greenlee Road in Mckean.
It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of the passing of an Edinboro University student Saturday afternoon as a result of a car accident that also caused serious injuries to another student.

Student Katelyn Martibello, a first year psychology major from Greeley, Pa was killed. She had just turned 19 in Jan.
My deepest condolences go out to the Martibello family.

Also in the vehicle was Edinboro student Stephanie Hutchinson. Hutchinson is from Ashtabula, Ohio, and is a second year elementary education/special education major. She is currently being treated in the Hamot Medical Center in Erie.
