I don’t know if any of you read Edinboro’s newspaper “The Spectator” (why would you when you have uncensored news right here? eh? EH?!)
But this weeks Spectator on the Street asked the question:
“What does Black History Month mean to you?”
And the most hilariously racist answer popped up from student Andy Alm
“I will not recognize it until there is a white history month”
Excuse me? Every goddamn day in America is practically white history day, even during Black History MONTH! Wow, you goddamn fool. I pity you, but I do understand where you’re coming from. You’re guilty of being white, and your grandfather’s grandfather might have had a slave. Sucks, I know, but Black History Month is still important.
We should be celebrating this month by looking up to icons such as Benjamin Banneker, George Washington Carver, David Nelson Crosthwait, or John Mercer Langston. I expect the black community in Edinboro to be humble and take in the pride in knowing how far the black race has come. Of course, this is a subject I don’t understand, and will never understand, since I’m not a minority.
However, throwing a massive party to celebrate it and then deliberately trashing the inside of a McDonalds is the most disgraceful, embarassing thing you could possibly do. Have some respect and carry yourself with pride. You should be better than this, you’re in college. This kind of activity certainly embarasses the more respectful blacks in the Edinboro community. Trash goes in a trashcan, not all over the floor, not all over every single table. You’re not defying anyone, you’re not sticking it to the man, you’re being lazy.
