We’re all hypocrites in one way or another, aren’t we? I’m sure there are many times (possibly every day) when we contradict ourselves on our beliefs that other times we feel so strongly about. Usually afterwards there’s a slight “I feel like an asshole” moment, but it passes.
Today I passed by the “Environmental-Remediation & Recovery” building on 6N in Edinboro. A brief description of this company from it’s own website:
ER&R, Inc. is an environmental and geological consulting firm focusing on assessment and remediation services. Our qualified environmental scientists and geologists specialize in the detection, evaluation and treatment of environmental and geological concerns.
So it sounds like they care a lot about the environment, right? When I drove by it, out of the 12 or 13 cars in the parking lot, 8-9 were old models of SUVs and pickup trucks (I drove past it once more to make sure I wasn’t insane). That’s 70 percent. I wonder how these assholes who certainly don’t need to be driving these gas guzzling giants can justify their vehicle when they pull up to their Captain Planet job?
Just sayin’

They are a geology company.
When things are being built, they do tests on the ground to make sure the digging won’t unearth toxic chemicals or settle and cause the building to cave in. It’s not so much like a Greenpeace group as it is a scientific services group.
