Edinboro firefighters quickly extinguished a porch fire above the Boro Bar this afternoon. They got a head start: The bar, at 117 Meadville St., is adjacent to the fire house parking lot.
“I thought, ‘Wow, this doesn’t happen very often,’” Deputy Chief Chris Karotko said.
Karotko and a medic spotted the flames on a second-floor porch at 12:17 p.m. They evacuated the residents of two apartments above the bar. No one was injured.
Firefighters remained on the scene for about an hour.
No word on what the cause is yet.
Possibly too many backwards baseball caps in one place.
Honestly though, nothing in the article about what started the fire? Or how much the people there at the time of the fire could bench press?
