Sorry about missing the latest Important Thing of the Week. We’re really busy, here, but don’t misunderstand the lack of updates- there is still plenty going on in Edinboro. Also, before I go into this rant, congrats Pens! (Sorry this update isn’t related to Edinboro, I just HAD to get this off my chest and see if anyone has any strong opinions about this..)
First off, Palin isn’t the smartest person in the world, and I think most people have come to terms with that. She used this ridiculously unfunny joke said by Letterman to give herself more press, since shit was dying down for her, and we all finally forgot about her.
Secondly, she shouldn’t be so surprised that someone would joke about her daughters. She campaigned for VP, but should have done it for herself, and not put her family and her daughters in the spotlight. She is the one who put her daughters all over the news any chance she could, she should have been letting them live their lives, keeping them in school and not giving them tons of media attention.

Thirdly, the joke was about Alex Rodriguez having sex with anything with two feet. Not about Palin and her daughters! Holy shit, has Palin ever recognized this? When I really think about what the joke is actually about, it gets me infuriated that anyone would be insulted by this.
Fourthly (I’m done counting, here..), Dave didnt write the joke. He didn’t give a damn which Palin daughter was at the game. Sarah, are you so delusional to think that he (or anyone else) follows your life that closely? And to think that he wants your daughter (or would like to) to get raped? Jesus Christ, yeah sure, Dave is just going to throw his career down the drain to express his opinion about how he thinks rape is funny. Are you retarded? To even suggest that Dave might be dangerous HIMSELF if hes around your daughter is absolutely insane.
Also, wasn’t it Mr. Palin who claimed his daughter’s baby was a “mistake”?

I wish anyone in the media had the guts to actually say ‘Are you kidding me?’ in regards to this. I think there are obvious issues that COULD be discussed with this joke, but I agree, the joke was just as much about Alex Rodriguez as it was about Palin’s daughter. In fact, until this arose, I thought she had her 18 year old daughter with her when I saw the clip of them at the game. Letterman said the joke was directed at the 18 year old.
In Palin’s world, no jokes offend anyone in any remote way, and there is no such thing as comedy.
Again, the joke wasn’t that funny (not because it was ‘offensive’, it wasn’t), it was kind of plain, boring.
Thank you, sirs. That could be the most overreacting I’ve seen since Angelina Jolie made out with her brother. I mean, come on!
And wow, I just finished listening to her crazy ramblings on. Where is this magical land that she speaks of where older men think it’s okay to rape little girls? Speaking for myself and the people I surround myself with, I don’t think, but let me check… nope. None of my friends think it would be okay to rape a 14 year old girl. Maybe that’s a reflection of how things are in Alaska. Maybe she should spend more time and energy fixing the rape-crisis in Alaska and less time chit-chatting it up with Matt Lauer.
