Billy Mays dies

In another addition of a string of non-Erie news..

Tampa police say Billy Mays, the television pitchman known for his boisterous hawking of products such as Orange Glo and OxiClean, has died. He was 50.

Authorities say Mays was pronounced dead this morning after being found by his wife at home. There were no signs of a break-in, and investigators do not suspect foul play. The coroner’s office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

If someone dies, you expect to find out here, first, right?

It’s as if mother nature is deciding to keep taking celebrities, until one you actually care about dies. Sure, Ed Macmahon was a great loss, same with Fawcett (I guess), Michael.. eh.. His carrer was over, anwyay, and I don’t think I have to remind anyone about his problems. This does suck, though, Pitchmen was a GREAT show!

Weird, especially since he was on Conan O’Brien a few nights ago pitching a tie that buttons onto the shirt and holds a business card.

“I think with Cash you need proper I.D.. I’ll just yell at them.”

In honor of his untimely death, I decided to post this hilarious video, even though the woman working at McDonalds is a terrible actor. I had no idea he was so funny, and kept a straight face so well.

( Also, much like MJ, he was also 50 years old. Weeeeeeeird! )

He was from Pittsburgh and was a frequent visitor. I spotted him in the Pittsburgh airport twice. He was “discovered” selling stuff at the Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show.
