Day 9:
The crypt of Mitchell Cemetery
Mitchell Cemetery is a very important place, I mean, it must be! It has even survived a drive-by! A drive-by from GOOGLE!!! But seriously, folks..

In the few frames before this, it appears that the crypt is actually emitting the light throughout the whole cemetery. That some enchanted spirit has taken a grasp of this tomb and is showing his mighty power to the Google van. But alas, tis just the glowing day-ball in the sky.
Wanna go there with me? VIRTUALLY?!
First, let’s cross the creepy bridge..

The top of the bridge states "Penn Bridge Company, Beaver Falls, PA"
Now continue to drive for a few more hundred yards, and..

BAM! You’re there. Upon first glance, you’d guess that this was a quite and peaceful, serene cemetery. You’d be right. It’s beautiful, out of the way, and has some very interesting and older gravestones. Right next to the serene (or TERRIFYING) woods, too! Well, it doeesss have some skeletons in its closet.

Pretty creepy, eh? I mean, maybe not so much at day- but try going at night. Every time you venture into this valley of death, listen close and pay attention to your surroundings. You’re bound to be creeped out by something or other.
Now, let’s get a bit closer to this crypt.

We're guessing the shingles on the roof have been put in post 1885..
Hm… Time to hit the dusty Rhodes, yet? Well if you do care to go further, there’s nothing really stopping you, per-se..

Can the next door open, too? Well, we can’t answer that for you. But don’t go out and try it, since it’s most likely illegal or something. We don’t condone illegal activity- especially in graveyards. Be respectful to the property. I can tell you, though, the only thing behind those doors are graves and a really bad smell. I mean, I guess.
Again, gotta emphasize to be respectful. Don’t pry any locks or break anything if you decide to check this place out. Use common sense. The point is: It’s creepy. The crypt dates back to 1885 so I don’t think this was “too soon”.

This cemetery has other interesting graves, too! Check out this tree stump! What a creative grave for something so long ago! This has to be from around the 1920s.. And does the name on the neighboring tombstones look familiar?
And yeah, this technically isn’t in Edinboro. But as stated in a previous post, this series is about creepy things in and around Edinboro. This is within 10 minutes from Edinboro, so it counts
