For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, there’s this cool new twitter thing going on.

I barely know how twitter works, so I can’t really get into it that much. It seems pretty funny.
However, one thing bugged the hell out of me.

This.
I hate to be the internet police, but this meme is being used hilariously wrong. This meme is named “Good Guy Greg” and it’s always used as a... good guy. Someone who pays your parking meter or doesn’t cock-block you at a party. You know, stereotypical good guy stuff that no one gets credited for.

Good Guy Greg is an image macro series featuring a photo of a square jawed man smiling at the camera with a joint in his mouth. The overlaid text generally depicts acts of kindness, generosity or a general empathetic attitude, and is meant to be the antithesis of Scumbag Steve.
You want to be using Scumbag Steve in this case. And you can call me a nerd and say I’m wasting my time and shit, but I mean if youre going to be tweeting memes, and basing a shtick around memes, it should be done right, you know?

And the fact that it took me 5 minutes to figure out what else “CP” could mean probably says wonders about what the internet has done to our culture.
The rest of the stuff was pretty funny and done well – and it’s a good idea all around. But that really ground my gears.
